Situation happened to me this morning at a pick up window while getting breakfast on my way to work. I honestly felt really bad about it and wondered to myself how this gentleman might have thought.
It was 6:30am and I was not having a good morning to start with so i was a little lets say psst. Mostly tired but at the same time psst. I could tell when I ordered and when i got to the window I was real short with my answers. Totally out of character of me. I'm always smiling and always usually put on a smile even in the worst of times and situations. As I drove off I thought man I felt like I was an Ass to that guy.
Maybe I'm totally looking at this all wrong and blowing it out of proportion. He was a black man probably in his twenties. But He has to deal with customers in all shapes and sizes and smile and frowns all day long.
I often wonder what a drive thru worker think as a customer drives off. In my situation I drove off wondering if he thought I was a Dick or that I could have jsut had a problem with his, or had a problem with his race.
It really makes you stop and think how you should treat people in all types of situations no matter what the surroundings are.
if I see the man there again, I'm gonna be sure to apologize for my attitude, it'll make me feel better about the whole thing.

1 cool @ss people decided to speak:
I can see why you would feel that way, but it makes me think about all the times I've drove through a drive thru and had the person mumble at me through the speaker, say something like "pull 'head" when I complete my order, then ignore me when I pull up to the window while they wait for my food and screw around with the rest of the workers. I've been sitting in my car having the workers stand right there in a group and not say one word to me while I waited for over 5 minutes, which I think is extremely rude. If the guy was extremely nice to you and you were being a jackass, then yea I'd feel a little bad, lol. But customer service is rarely spectacular in a drive thru, unless it's Taco Bell or Starbucks because they always seem to be kickass people, so if they expect you to sit there and kiss their ass while blessing them with morning greetings they're a little insane. I wouldn't worry too much about it unless he was really super nice and full of sunshine and rainbows and you were a dick that sprayed him with piss and vinegar lol. And if he thinks you're racist for it, then that's his own little personal battle, not yours.
